First Lady Wanda Norris was born in Palatka, Florida, to the late Joseph Mitchell Brown and Annie Brown Jackson. She is the second of three daughters. For over 38 years, Lady Wanda has partnered with her husband, District Elder Charles Norris to build a home, a family, and for the last 16 years, a Ministry… New Destiny Tabernacle in Spokane, Washington, which has now been expanded to an additional location in Deer Park, Washington. They are the proud parents of three adult children and two grandchildren.
First Lady Wanda graduated from Palatka Central High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Albany State University in Albany, Georgia and an Associate of Biblical Studies from the Midwest College of Theology . She is also a retiree from the United States Air Force, serving over 20 years. Lady Wanda currently holds the position of Director of the Destiny Kids Early Learning Center, which was founded by New Destiny Tabernacle in 2007 and is licensed to care for 94 little ones between the ages of 4 weeks to 12 years.
Lady Wanda received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus’ Name in November 1989 at Calvary Apostolic Church (United Pentecostal Church International) under the leadership of Pastor Hal Higgins in Clovis, New Mexico. She is currently a locally licensed Minister and affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW). She is the President of the Women of Destiny Auxiliary, and Founder and Minister of G.E.M.S. (Girls Equipped and Mentored to Shine), a ministry for young girls between the ages of 7 and 12. Lady Wanda is also the current President of the Pacific Northwest District Council (PNDC) Minister Wives and Minister Widows Auxiliary.
Lady Wanda is grateful to God for placing her in a position to be a helpmeet to a wonderful man of God. She also loves and embraces the privilege afforded her to be a part of God’s plan…not only to her local church, but also the Pacific Northwest District Council as well.
